What is syntax ?

Assalamualaikum , hello welcome to my blog, this time I will not be bored to explain with all of you, what is syntax?

Understanding Syntax in Linguistics might give a little picture to all if it refers to the expert or expert.  My supervisor said, quoting from Noam Chomsky,

"Syntax is the study of the principles and processes by which sentences are constructed in particular languages. Syntactic investigation of a given language has as its goal the construction of a grammar that can be viewed as a device of some sort for producing the sentences of the  language under analysis. "(Noam Chomsky, 2002: 11)

"Subjects or subjects of the principles and processes by which sentences are formed in a particular language.  Syntax research in a language has its own purpose where the grammar arrangement can be seen as a tool to produce sentences in the language "

There is also a second opinion: "First and foremost, syntax deals with how sentences are constructed, and users of human language employ a striking variety of possible arrangements of elements in sentences."

The point of this understanding is that the syntax reviews how sentences are formed and the language user uses a special variation that makes it possible to form elements in the sentence.
Dizzy, understanding, inventor.  A simpler understanding comes from Matthew, he said that "Syntax is derived from a Greek word meaning" arrangement ".  Syntax comes from the Yunanai language which means "composition".  This arrangement studies the ways in which words are formed together in a unity forming a greater unity.  The position of the sentence itself based on this understanding is the greatest unity that can be accepted in linguistics.  The point is students will be given material about how the word becomes larger form then turns into a phrase, clause and finally into a sentence.

 Syntax example in Linguistic

To make it easier to understand the meaning of syntax from inventors, you should consider the following example:

 Box

 That big box

That big box is very heavy

The word box (1) is a word (word), then that big box (2) is a phrase and the last (3) is a clause.  Since the definition of the word may be too clear, let's continue on the phrase.  Phrases are formed from several words and will later develop into a greater clause.  And a Clause is a combination of several words containing a limited verb that cannot be formed separately.

Understanding Syntax in Linguistics that might be explained in this post maybe just a little.  And hopefully with a little more readers understand the meaning of syntax.  Sorry if there are deficiencies in the meaning of the meaning of the quote the experts.

okay, that's all my explanation about syntax, hopefully it's useful for all of you guys
